In November and December 2008 at two Dialogue Nights, dozens of South Burlington teenagers had the courage to lead community dialogue on underage drinking, drug use, and other challenges they face daily.
As a result of these Dialogue Nights, high school students founded S.A.D.D. (Students Against Destructive Decisions -- now PACTeens) and adults founded PACT.
The PACT symbol was created by the 2008-2009 South Burlington High School Design Consortium. SBHS student Nora Rogers noted, "I thought the tree symbolized growth."
“I think teenagers would be shocked to know there’s a group in South Burlington with the mission of listening to teens.”
